I recently had a small something to do with a project initiated by a very big and internationally known Torah scholar. We had a brief meeting at his home, in which we sat in front of his computer because I needed to show him some things on the web. Here is what happened:

I tried to open a totally tame, informational website and was blocked by his porn filter. He casually called over his daughter and asked her to insert the code to override the filter which she did and watched the site come up.

I expressed my bewilderment that the pornsite filter would block this particular site. He then told me that he sought out and installed a filter in such a way that it blocks any and every site unless it has been approved by the code which only his daughters and wife know.

He has no sons in the house, so everyone in the house has the code except for him.

Mrs. Crewman, our holy Torah says that the greater the person, the greater his sexual inclination towards transgression. That's why this giant Torah leader of our generation installed the most strict porn filter for himself.

Please help your husband. He is totally normal. The two of you are blessed that your husband has woken up to admit to himself that he is powerless to try and rectify this on his own (just like the great Rabbi mentionned above).

Your husband needs to install a strict filter like the Rabbi's. Give the password to all the women in the house. Initially, you will have to constantly approve sites (sites are approved once) and watch them come up on the screen. But then it will just be occasional sites that he rarely visits.
